Gthumb not displaying only thumbnails

I have several thousand photos on a NAS drive. Gthumb displays the thumbnails just fine. However, when I click on a photo to work with it, I get nothing - just the Gthumb edit photo interface with a blank screen. Any ideas?

In gThumb, if you click the choosen image with the right mouse button and select "Open with ...", you should be given a choice of programs to open it. Is any of these programs able to open your image?

Yes, both eog and F-spot viewer will open the image.

Looks like this is a bug in gThumb. For instance, I have the same behaviour you describe with xfc images.
Can you file a bug report?
For the time being at least you will be able to use eog or F-spot.

the xcf format is not supported by gThumb. For details please see:
