Want to display thumbnails of .eps and .pdf files with gthumb

Asked by mike-g2

Hello,

I do a lot of my writing using latex using eps files. As I migrate to using pdflatex, I am starting to use .pdf files as well. It would be very helpful if I could get gthumb to display these files so that I can get a quick overview of what is in a directory. Is there away to do this easily?

Mike

Ahhh to answer my own question, the sign of a true scholar...

Installing the package gs-gpl allows gthumb & nautilus to display eps thumbnails.

nice.

Does anyone know what the gs-gpl package used to be called, or what it did? It seems to refer to something else now, and does not solve the issue on 9.04.
