How can i backup and restore GRUB 2 in a dual boot with Windows XP ?

I have duel boot PC with Ubuntu 9.10 and Windows Xp. Have there any method to backup GRUB and restore it via Ubuntu Live CD if my XP or ubuntu crash ?

Best way to restore grub would be to
* Use a LiveCD , you can re-install grub from it

I dont think it's necessary to "backup" any grub files since they auto-generate

Best way to restore the Windows bootloader (no dualboot)
* Use the WinXP install CD , select R to repair and run fixmbr/fixboot
