How to remove unwanted boot options?

Asked by mikehi

The boot screen on my dual boot 64-bit machine (Ubuntu 9.10 and Win XP) has entries for 2.6.31-14 generic and recovery modes and 2.6.31-15 generic and recovery modes. I am booting Ubuntu to 2.6.31-16 now.

How do I remove the unwanted boot options?

Thanks

Solved my own problem. Synaptic package manager does the job and updates the boot menu.

Thanks to anyone who looked at the original question.

Just try and install "KDE Grub Editor" through Synaptic Manager. Edit them as you like..... I am sure, you will like my suggestion!

Thanks very much. I got it solved by using the Synaptic Package Manager. An
idea from another post on a similar topic. It worked.

As I told earlier. Open synaptic manager: type"KDEGRUBEDITOR".in search box: click 'apply'.You are going to install 'grub editor'.You can find kde grub editor in scrolldown menu. open it and edit with quick editor and save. you can apply colors to the bootloader menu also!
