edit boot menu in ubuntu 9.10

Hi!
I wanted to edit menu.lst for boot that used to be in /boot/grub dir in earlier versions ubuntu. I can not find it . Where is the file located or if the name changed what is the file ?

Firstly, your question has nothing to do with firefox so why have you related this question to it? It is clearly a grub question

Ubuntu now uses grub2 which uses /boot/grub/grub.cfg

Editting this file is futile as the file is generated using scripts and other configs, you CAN edit the file but next time you instal a new kernel, the change will be wiped, to make youor changes permanent you need to add the settings you wish in Grub2's scripts and config files so that when new kernels are installed you will not lose the settings.

Moved from firefox-3.5 to grub2 question... @actionparsnip i use the "Edit question" top right web link to do this...

Can I do that as me? I figured it was an admin task or you'd get some clown coming in and shuffling stuff all over the place....
