Making XP default entry in GRUB of 9.10.

I want to make Microsoft XP as the default entry in the GRUB. I am using Ubuntu 9.10. Please tell me where to find the menu.lst file and what changes to make. Actually I am not finding the menu.lst file. I also want to give a splash image at the Grub screen. Please tell me how to do so.

Hi,
if you cannot find /boot/grub/menu.lst file, than you probably have GRUB 2 installed (you were doing clean install of 9.10).
Then changing the boot menu is different. The base file is /etc/default/grub.
