Well , kernel panic is not good at all. Please try this automatic tool :
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Boot-Repair#A2nd_option_:_install_Boot-Repair_in_Ubuntu

might help you to overcome the messages "No Operating system , no bootable devices"

Just boot from a LiveDVD/USB of Ubuntu and "Try Ubuntu" and then is a couple of commands in terminal. See the link I gave above.
