Ubuntu 12.04 disappears after installx Windows OS.

Ubuntu 12.04 disappears after installx Windows OS. It doesn't appear during bootup or in the bootup menu, but the partition can be seen from windows, though not accessible. Pls help?

Yes , Windows replaced the grub bootloader with their own (windows) loader and now (I assume) you boot directly to windows.

This is a common issue and the solution is easy and automatically

Boot from a LiveCD/Usb (whatever you have) of Ubuntu. At the "Try Ubuntu" session open a terminal with [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[t] keys combo and apply the bellow commands (copy-paste from here) one at time (you must have active Internet connection)

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:yannubuntu/boot-repair && sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install -y boot-repair && boot-repair

At the opened window click on [Recommended Repair] and when finish , reboot and you will be fine.
