Doesn't sound likley.

What are the options for your BIOS?

Mine for example gives the following list

Hard Disk
CD/DVD
Network

I can change the order of these but since Ubuntu is installed on My hard disk and another OS would also have to be on either the same or another hard disk then some sort of bootloader is needed,

If your BIOS gave you the option of which hard disk or hard disk partition then its theoretically possible but I'm not aware of any BIOS that gives you this option.

Another possibility is a seperate Bootloader like "Bootit-Bare Metal". I use this on a machine I have at work to test drivers for the products we make.

On this machine I have two real drives. The first one has multiple partitions for multiple OSs so I can test my drivers work on Win2000, Win NT, XP, Vista-32bit, Vista-64bit, Win7-32bit, Win7-64bit, etc.

The second drive just contains images of the first drive so that I can restore each of the operating systems as required.

If you are interested boot it can be got from here. Its not free but not too expensive either

The BIOS will never choose the OS to boot from. The BIOS simply gets the hardware configured then loads the MBR on the drive you select as bootable. The drive you select's bootloader will then load up and do whatever is necessary.

Can you help with this problem?
