Please don't post in all caps, it's harder to read, is totally unecessary and makes it look like you are SHOUTING.

What have you attempted in order to fix this?

sorry for the caps, i did nothing..

i mean, i have done nothing..

but it was my mistake.. i connected my hard drive to windows 7 operating system to copy my data from the hard disk on which ubuntu was installed.. i dint knew ubuntu wont allow me to copy my data like that.. so i tried hard to access but i failed.. last i googled and by mistakely deleted a small partition of 1gb..

i donno what was on it... but afterwards when i tried to use my ubuntu again.. it came up with an error.. "READ ERROR" nothing else...

then i tried to fix that error by reading many posts.. but all were worthless.. the i donno what i did.. and the error chaned to "ERROR: HD0 READ ERROR, GRUB RESCUE>" then i tried to fix this grub thing.. but was unable to fix it.. then i tried a link which removed this grub error and the "READ ERROR" came up again.

:P

Try reinstating Grub. I assume you did not use Wubi to install

Backtrack support is completely separate from Ubuntu's. Backtrack forum is here:
