Boot options menu does not react on wireless (USB) keyboard!?!

Asked by Klaus Bosseck

During the boot phase the two options (Ubuntu / Windows) are shown.
However, the arrow keys are not accepted by the system. No reaction at all.
I think, this is, because the keyboard and mouse (wireless) are connected via UBS!?
If I connect a usual keyboard with the system, it works.
What has to be changed?

How does the wireless keyboard connect to the system?? Is it Bluetooth or does it have it's own USB adapter?
What is the make and model of the keyboard?

If you unplug then replug in the device when grub shows, does it work ok?

I can try that, but the MS boot menue, not the grub menue, does not read the keyboard.

Sorry, I checked the keyboard functionality with grub menue:
It does not read the keyboard input as well!

So in fact, the USB keyboard (and mouse) is not detected and read before the ubuntu system has started.

Have you tried enabling legacy mode in BIOS for the USB?

Bingo - that was the point: Legacy Mode für USB in Boot Setup

Thanks a lot.
