Cannot get grub program to run at start-up

Asked by rkcarney

I have just bought a new computer. It has a 'Intel core i3' cpu and 2TB hard drive space. It has been preloaded with 'Windows 7'.

I downloaded Ubuntu 12.04 and created a CD iso disk.

I switched my machine to boot from disk and restarted. The setup seemed to go smoothly right up to the re-boot stage, when the GRUB box did not appear and I was led into the Windows distro.

How can I get the startup to run the GRUB program?

Hi man

Thanks for all.

Solved problem by going into BIOS and altering the point at which it starts to boot up, to just before the ubuntu distro.

It now works fine.

Thanks for all, once again,
rk.
