grub must have been corrupted...

Asked by Gerard Derksen

When I clicked on the Security Updates for Firefox this morning everything started to go haywire on my pc(running Ubuntu11.10) and I ended up having to reinstall Ubuntu, as I was unable to reboot my machine,I think grub must have been corrupted .

As I said , I was installing the security updates this morning Sun Feb 19 12,(which just happened to be firefox updates),on my pc running Ubuntu11.10,when my machine started going erratic, resulting in my having to reboot to try and get it to function properly, but then was unable to reboot or start my pc, ( I tpresumed that thegrub had been corrupted).

Therefore I ended up having to reinstall Ubuntu to get the machine up and running,So I was wondering whether it was a bug in the updating(Security Updates) this morning.
