Ubuntu launches okay. Just take as long as if I were waiting for Grub menu to time out.

You could set your timeout to 1 or 2 to speed it up. Do you dual boot?

I want to be able to dual boot again. I want to have the Grub menu again. I do not want to get error message on boot. re: "I am getting this error message;" input signal out of range, change settings to 1600 x 900 60Hz ". I was able to dual boot from the GRUB menu before updating to 11.04. Ubuntu launches okay."

ahh I see, if you edit /etc/default/grub

you can set the resolution in the file, you will need to run:

sudo update-grub

after editting to apply, reboot to test

gksudo gedit /etc/default/grub

will open the file for editting. Change this line as you wish (remove the hash from the beginning of the line):

#GRUB_GFXMODE=640x480
