Dual booting Win 7 and UBUNTU 11.10

Just installed 11.10 over Win 7 to dual boot. Everything seemed to install OK.

When re-starting, it went right into Win 7, starting with a check disk error. A previous question with similar problem was resolved with the answer to install Grub.

How do I do that?

This is not a good experience.

windoze 7 has something that prevents the bootloader from installing.
just boot off the disk you installed ubuntu from and select restore grub.
