boot problems lost grub,

Asked by Jakob E. Lewin

Tried and tried, but Failed to re-install grub boot, using terminal. What next?
I can access my ubuntu or Kubuntu (I have both versions of 11.04)
plus XP and W7... that means 4 bootable OS's, and for now, I do not wish to lose my Linux partitions. Do I just reinstall using LiveCD or can I do this elegantly and correctly.

Jakob E. Lewin suggests this article as an answer to your question:
FAQ #93: “Cant' use sudo: unable to resolve host ....”.

Is your problem really solved? FAQ #93 doesn't seem to have anything to do with your problem reinstalling GRUB2 to the Master Boot Record.
