how to remove previous ubuntu version after upgrading?

I upgraded from 10.04 to 11.04 but in grub loader screen it shows previous version of ubuntu.
how to remove that?
in synaptic package manager it just shows only one kernel that i m using named as linux-image-2.6.38-8-generic

If you go to the menu System - Administration - Disk Utility, you can then format the drives. Select the drive that has the old version on it and either format it or increase the size of the drive that has the new os on it.
