Missing boot option

Asked by m j cox

After waiting over 2 hours to install ubuntu 11.4 "alongside Windows7", on reboot the option to load ubuntu was missing. If I try to reinstall, it recognises that I have already done so. I already had a dual boot with Windows XP so presume that ubuntu should appear as a third boot option? Installing ubuntu 10 was much easier! Solution?

Please post partition table to see if cleaning after 2nd install is needed.
