Restore ubuntu 10.04 after reinstall windows XP

During some days I am using dual boot Ubuntu 10.04 and Windows XP . But I have recently reinstalled Windows XP
Now, I am failure to restore ubuntu 10.04 . Please , help me.

How did you install Ubuntu originally? Via CD, or USB

how did you install ubuntu originally? did you use the wubi installer or from the cd?

in either case, unless ubuntu was on a separate partition (hard drive), reinstalling windoze will have erased ubuntu and you'll need to re-install it.

Then place the CD in the drive and install by Windows's side. Create a new partition, you can do this easily by running off the live CD (letting it start with your computer).

If you still have Ubuntu partitions, you only have to reinstall bootloader from CD: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Grub2#Reinstalling%20from%20LiveCD
@Jason: please ask people if they installed via Wubi. We have a very good expert in Wubi questions. To assign him question, link it to project "Wubi".
