Grub rescue Error

I have installed ubuntu 10.04 inside my windows 7, and also performed all required updatation inside my ubuntu machine . but when i tried to reboot my system then a Error named as "error rescue " is generated . Now i am unable to access my system , because of this error message .

error : no such device: d014a991-f3d8-49a9-828c-61b03ff7870e
grub rescue>

Sir, i am a software engineering student , but due to my exam session is going on, i am unable to search a result for this issue. kindly help me to check it out from this problem. I want to work on ubuntu terminal for linux coding point of view .

Reinstall Grub2, it should solve issue:

If you installed with the windows installer (Wubi), then there was a recent grub-pc upgrade that is getting users to install grub to the MBR and the symptoms are the same as you describe.

Reinstalling the Windows bootloader will fix this (just the bootloader). e.g. on XP boot to a repair prompt and run: "fixmbr" ; on vista/7 run: "bootrec.exe /fixmbr"
