[Burn issue] GLib-WARNING **: getpwuid_r()

Asked by TheMazeEcho

I've downloaded the "ubuntu-10.10-desktop-i386.iso" file, burned it to a CD using the steps described in the step 2 of http://www.ubuntu.com/desktop/get-ubuntu/download (both under Ubuntu 9.10 and Windows XP), but when trying to boot from the CD to install the new 10.10 on a computer (both one that runs currently on 9.10 and one under windows XP), I get the following error message after the splash screen:
(process:289): GLib-WARNING **: getpwuid_r(): failed due to unknown user id (0)
Can anyone tell me what this means, and what I need to do to be able to install Ubuntu 10.10?
I've also tried to create a USB drive and install the system from it, but I also get some error messages after the splash screen (the screen goes into saving mode too fast, I can't read the messages).

It seems this warning is meaningless and you don't have to care about this.
What happen exactly when you boot ?

As I said, I get this message and the system is stuck.
It seems it was a defect on the CD I used, I burned another CD and could then install the 10.10 on this computer.
