uninstalling problem

actually i have installed ubuntu 9.10 inside windows 7(64)bit... it is not working.. after i have selected ubuntu a blank black screen is coming...this was my first problem.. after i have uninstalled ubuntu using windows cd(by mistake i have formatted that ubuntu installed partition).but that grub option is not gone... its showing ubuntu in that selecting window once again....i dont want to see that... what to do...pls help me...

Thank you for posting your question here.

However, your question is a bit unclear. You say, you uninstalled Ubuntu by using Windows CD. Do you mean, you reinstalled Windows, wiping out the entire hard-disk? In that case, Windows should have installed its boot-loader in MBR.

If you followed any other procedure, please let us know, so that we understand your problem correctly.

yes nitesh. by using windows cd i have formatted that partition in which ubuntu was there.. i think no need to fix grub because i have installed ubuntu inside windows.. and now my windows is working normally.but my problem is in that grub window ubuntu is still there...but there is no ubuntu in my system..

Wubi is a software which allow to install Ubuntu file system inside a NTFS one, which avoid to have to make dedicated partitions to Ubuntu.
The Grub menu file is, in usual dual boot (not Wubi), in a folder named /boot in a Linux partition, so it looks strange. Can you boot on Ubuntu CD, choose option "Try without install", Applications->Accessories->Terminal and post result of command:
   sudo parted -l
where "-l" is lower case "-L". So I will see what is your partition table.
