XP boots blank screen after dual boot install

Grub okay, boots linux okay, XP boots blank screen. Ran update-grub.

Let's try this again;

I DO NOT have a blank screen at startup. I CAN boot into Ubuntu BUT when I highlight down to XP THEN I get a blank screen.

First thing is to try to fix XP MBR. Have a look at:
    http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1014708
Check XP boots well.
After, you probably lost grub2 menu (but sometimes it works). In this case, have a look at:
    https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RecoveringUbuntuAfterInstallingWindows

Well, for whatever reason this computer will not accept a dual boot with Linux. I was able to restore loading Windows using FIXBOOT and FIXMBR.

I did notice one thing: when I tried to migrate my WIndows documents it said "No suitable OS found" or something like that.
