Problem installing Ubuntu on HP Z600 ws

I am trying to install Ubuntu 10.04 on a HP Z600 workstation. Everything works fine until the first reboot after the installation. A long series of I/O error shows up.

I really need a good advice. Thanks.

Boot to liveCD and fsck the drive / partitions
Also use teh liveCD to test your RAM
You could also boot the ultimate boot cd and use the manufacturers tool of your drive to test your drive at a low level, the UBCD has most of the main drive manufacturers tools on it.

It seemed to be to HP graphic card that caused the problem. Changing it fixed the problem. Thanks
