Error:No such partition

I have a problem with ubuntu n so I decided to reinstall it.With windows 7 as the other os i formated the space in which ubuntu was installed.I thought when I restart my laptop windows boot loader will boot windows as usually as before I installed ubuntu.But it did not happen.When start my laptop it displays
"ERROR:NO SUCH PARTITION..
 GRUB rescue>....."
Where this grub has been installed?How do I get my windows 7 now?
I dont want to reinstall windows again.So help in getting rid of this grub.Now I have alot of work to do on my laptop but it isnt working at all.Help in making it easy n fast.
