Uninstalling Ubuntu and GRUB

Asked by ROB3RT

Okay. I am running Windows Vista ATM. I have Ubuntu 9.04 and GNU GRUB installed. When I start up the computer, the GRUB loader does not come up. It automatically loads Vista, because I used Vista's backup, after I uninstalled Ubuntu for the first time.

If I manually delete Ubuntu and the GRUB loader on Vista Disk Management, or GParted, will this affect Vista, and is it safe?
After i delete them, I will then re-install Ubuntu and the GRUB loader.
Thank you to anyone that helps.

When I go to the disk manager on Windows Vista, it says that the GRUB Loader and Ubuntu are 100% free...
Does this mean that the partitions are empty?
