Grub deleted 9.04 urgent help needed!

I deleted Ubuntu 9.04 and the GRUB loader and right now I am running on the live cd. When I go to install ubuntu again, I get these options:
Use Entire Hard Drive (No)
Use Largest continous free space
Specify partitions manually.

I do not want to delete anything else on my hard drive. I do not get an option to dual boot... The largest continous free space would let me dual boot right?
When I click on the specify partition manually button, only ubuntu shows up.

Please, please help me!

And also the Windows Vista Partition is no longer called Windows vista. It is called /dev/sda1... How can I change this back?

Did you have a functional dual-boot system with Vista and Ubuntu? Please describe what you started with and then describe exactly what you did from that functioning system to a non-functioning system. In particular, how did you delete Ubuntu and GRUB?

Describe your goal right now. Do you just want Vista? Do you want just Ubuntu? Or do you still want a dual-boot system?

Do you have backups of your data in Vista?

Okay, I reinstalled Ubuntu, and then used the hidden Vista backup partition. I'm on Vista now.
Currently, I have Ubuntu and the GRUB loader on my computer, but when I turn on the computer, the GRUB loader doesn't start.

What I want:
GRUB loader + Ubuntu 9.04 off of my computer without touching vista.
How can I do this?

Was Vista installed before Ubuntu? If so, you should be able to boot with the Vista CD and enter a recovery type mode where you can tell it to repair your MBR (Master Boot Record). The MBR points to your Vista on the first partition. That's why I asked whether Vista was installed first and therefore on the first partition. Then again, the Vista CD might be smart enough to detect Vista anywhere on your drive.
