grub package

Wont boot Error 17

When I start my system it only boots to Grub1.5 and Error17. I can only access (boot) Ubuntu thru the install live cd. I cannot even access windows. Would like to uninstall Ubuntu and get back to the dos/windows boot like I had b4 all of this.

get to a command-line
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UsingTheTerminal#Starting%20a%20Terminal
and type in

sudo fdisk -l

where " -l" is a lower-case " -L". Then please use the firefox from the top menu to paste the result into here.

I had a quick look around for this error and found this previous post in another forum but i haven't read through it yet to check what it says. It is a good forum though so ii's probably a good answer.
