HELP!!!!! partition manager change grub not booting error 17 stage 1.5 grub

I have used Partition manager to resize and move some partition of ubuntu and the user data partion of X
as a result when buuting I get when booting;

loading stage 1.5
please wait loading
error 17

with the ubuntu installation CD I can run ubuntu and
NONE but my swap partition are mounted I have no access anymore to anypartition
not even the ubuntu boot root and user that are on a logical partition where I have also my wihdos user data partition
I do not have access also to my primary windows partition
if i run
sudo fldisk -l
i get (I am obmitting the block info)

this is after I have resised the linux partition and moved them after the extended windows partition hdb6
can I get access again to ubuntu drives and windows drives with both operating systems?
please help

Surely, you have move a partition. Then, you need edit the file /boot/grub/menu.lst
Example, if you have '/' partition on hdb5, you must set groot=hd(1,4)
Then, you need reinstall grub at mbr with a correct /boot location.
