grub error

When i install grub, while typing the command, find /boot/grub/stage1 I get an error saying that Error 15: File not Found.
I even tried find /grub/stage1. When I navigate to /boot/grub , i found the stage1 file. When I clicked it, it says Could not display "/boot/grub/stage1" and There is no application installed for this file type. What do I do guys?
