problem uninstalling ubuntu

Asked by Gempie

I have been dual booting with windows vista and ubuntu. I uninstalled Ubuntu recently by just clicking, "Uninstall Ubuntu" and i deleted all the files and everything but when I boot my computer it still gives me a choice if I want to boot windows or ubuntu. How can I get rid of this so I only have Windows Vista and it boots the way it did before dual booting? Thanks for your help I appreciate it.

Boot to your windows cd, open Windows Recovery Console, and type fixmbr

or you can use

Super Grub boot disk
ms-sys from inside ubuntu
MBRFix.exe from inside windows

This page provides information on alternate methods
