how to install grub for ubuntu hardy?

i have windows xp and ubuntu in my system. and i was using both .but one day when i install a program on windows then the grub disappears.and now i cant go to ubuntu.when restarting it goes directly to windows.i have ubundu instalation cd but i cant see terminal now anywhere .pls solve this
