dual boot vista by default

after i turn on the computer, Ubuntu is selected by default. i have a 2-5 second window to choose Vista. Is there a way to set vista as the default (or number 1 choice)

i tried this, but it didn't work: cd/boot/grub gksude gedit menu.1st
i have no idea what to do with that line.. thanks

Hello,

You are almost there. There is a line which states :

default 0

right ?

This is the system which be loaded by default. This mean, the first possiblity of your menu.lst.

If you want to set the second by default, set :
default 1

Copy and paste your menu.lst if you need more help.

i don't know what to do with that line. i enter it into terminal and it says "no such directory" how do i access cd/boot/grub? its my first day

Type this command in a terminal and you will be able to edit the file :
sudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst
