Lost grub And Windows 8

Installed windows 8 and Installed uubuntu on the same hard disk by manual Partition.and installed correctly but after restarting there is no grub or other options.System directly boots to Ubuntu,but i can see and open the windows partitions.

sudo update-grub; lsb_release -a

Tried sudo grub

The output is

Thats not the command I gave at all. If you COPY the command you won't botch the command.

Maverick is no longer supported in any way. I suggest you ditch Maverick and install a clean install of Precise or Saucy. You can then upgrade to Trusty in April.

Reinstate the Windows bootloader to the MBR using the Windows install CD. A Windows forum will be able to advise.
