GRUB loading error

After installing ubuntu 7.04, on bootup I get the message "grub arror 2" after loading stage 1.5. I had ubuntu on dual boot before with windows ME, and everything worked fine (including the Grub screen at startup allowing the choice of OS). I have now deleted all previous partitions, formatted the drive, and reinstalled ubuntu. Now on bootup I get the above message, and I cant move on from there. Live CD still boots, but cannot boot from local disk.

It depends by how you have installed grub. In which partition did you installed it?

Was installed on first installation, with dual boot on primary partition.

The simplest way to solve the problem is to reinstall Ubuntu also installing the grub.
