grub menu.lst problema error 23

non riesco a mette windows_xp nel GRUB mi dice sempre error 23....

Giovi1981,
mi par di capire che hai 4 dischi e vuoi far partire Windows dalla 1.a partizione del 4.o disco :
disco 0 -> 251gb -> /dev/hdb -> ntfs (win)
disco 1 -> 251gb -> /dev/hdc -> ntfs (win)
disco 2 -> 61gb -> /dev/hdd -> ext3 (disco Linux)
disco 3 -> 251gb -> /dev/sda ->ntfs (win)

Cosa succede se scrivi questo:

root (hd3,0)

Fornisci comunque altre info se ho capito male o se non funziona.

mi scuso ma ora non posso testare le vostre risp. altri problemi col pc....sento avviarsi e fermarsi l'HD...
vabbè appena posso provo....cmq quello che incollato è proprio il risultato di

Description du problème (identique avec debian etch, sans ubuntu installé)
1ère installation : ubuntu1 (ou debian1) : tout est ok
installation supplémentaire : ubuntu2 (ou debian2) : accès à 2 possible,
accès à 1 impossible : initramfs prob.

J'ai corrigé menu.lst la ligne kernel qui provoque initramfs (disque introuvable) :
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.22-14-generic root=/dev/sdb2 ro quiet splash
Ligne d'origine :
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.22-14-generic root=UUID=3e7a9fd9-ba28-4e28-9a78-b08f1e56145e ro quiet splash

Ce problème ne semble pas propre a Ubuntu mais à Grub. Lors d'une 2ème installation, les UUID doivent changer.
Je ne suis pas un guru linux, juste un utilisateur beta.
