Groovy needs updating for Intrepid (and Hardy if poss.)

Asked by Russel Winder

The Groovy package in Hardy and Intrepid is 1.5.4. This really needs to be updated to 1.5.6 as has happened in Debian Sid and Debian Lenny. Can this be done soon?

Of course Groovy may move to 1.5.7 or even 1.6.0 before Intrepid gets released!

Is there any chance of packaging Gant as well -- Debian has.

Thanks.

if debian has it then chances are that we will also have it. most of the main developers are at UDS at the moment, i would expect 'groovy' to update continuously in the ubuntu repositories until feature freeze later on in the year. it won't be upgraded for hardy baring some giant security flaw found in it or whatever.

I mistyped when I asked the question, Hardy and Intrepid have Groovy 1.5.2.

I understand about the Hardy version. I'll keep checking the version in Intrepid to see when it gets updated :-)

Intrepid is now at 1.5.6 so the initial problem is solved. If 1.5.7 is released before the Intrepid freeze, I guess it will now get updated.

Thanks.

I clearly pressed the "I'm Providing More Information" button instead of the "Problem Solved" button. Sorry.
