As the original poster, I only asked a "question".

I did not make a request.

Somebody else decided to file this "bug" about it.

As I -- and at least one of the other responders --
have been using 3.2.5 since November, I don't
have a personal interest in whether you add it
or not.

I just pity all the unsophisticated Ubuntu users
of gramps out there, the ones who don't know
now to get a more modern version, who wait for
their Ubuntu package manager to automatically
tell them about it (or do it, or whatever). As
after all, it is the "unsophisticated user" who is
the target market Ubuntu is aimed at -- as I
understand it at least.

I see their bug reports on the gramps bug
tracker (the main one, the "upstream" one,
not whatever bug tracker Ubuntu has), with
their "3.2.3" version number. And when they
are told "that bug has been fixed in 3.2.5" they
usually respond something like "I never knew
there was a newer version" or "how do I get
it, it's not in the Ubuntu repository?"

If the Ubuntu bureaucracy is more interested
in blindly following rules and not very interested
in keeping their users supplied with packages
which have bugs fixed, then I guess that is
up to them and their decision.

I will note that my original question has not
been answered, however.
