Persistence of touchpad settings

Asked by Mat Kramer

I am running Bodhi Linux 2.4.0 on a Sony Vaio PCG-R505GCP with a built-in ALPS touchpad. I have gpointing-device-settings 1.5.1-6ubuntu0.1. In the GPointing Device Settings controlpanel, under the AlpsPS/2 ALPS GlidePoint section and the Tapping tab, I select "Disable Tapping". This works find, but this setting does not seem to persist between reboots. Is this intentional? The touch pad is very sensitive and without it disabled the UI is very difficult to use.

Thanks.

Boghi Linux is not supported here or in any of the Ubuntu support channels. It's support is entirely separate from Ubuntu's. I suggest you post here :
