Need Help to Uninstall Ubuntu Partitions

I followed instructions given by Tom;
After typing "sudo fdisk -l" at the command-line, Info on screen displayed as follows:

Can you boot into windows? If so the simply go to program files and delete the ubuntu. or go to add/remove in control pannel.

If you installed Ubuntu with wubi do what David Jones adviced.If you installed Ubuntu side-by-side then read http://members.iinet.net.au/~herman546/p18.html#MbrFix.exe andafte you are done with that delete Ubuntu partitions with your Ubunt u live CD or with Gparted live Cd witch you can download from http://gparted.sourceforge.net/

The machine on which I am trying to uninstall Ubuntu does not have windows installed, so I cannot get to Program files to remove it.

So on your sda1 is not Windows install.You just made partition with NTFS file system.If that is correct then you can wipe all your drivr with Gparted live CD and after that make new partitions if you like.

Joe if you have the Ubuntu live install cd boot your pc entirely from it.
The Ubuntu live cd have gparted on it so you will find it from menu System→Administration→Partition editor (gparted)
