split hard drive in more than one partition

I have installed ubuntu 9.10 by replacing all operating systems , now i have one hard drive ,ie, filesystem.. HOW CAN I SPLIT IT INTO TWO OR MORE ?

you can use gparted and resize partitions. Karmic is no longer supported and I suggest you wipe it out and clean install Precise as it is LTS as well as being the latest release.
