expanding disk space for Ubuntu in windows 7

Ubuntu wants to upgrade to version 11 but I have run out of allocated space. I have plenty of room to allocate more space but cannot see how to do it with my partition manager.

boot from Ubuntu live cd and use gparted to resize your partitions
