not having enough space (17GB) only.

hello guys.. well i have Windows 7 and yestarday i install ubuntu in dual boot. my hard drive in my laptop is 250GB with about 120+ GB free but i believe wen i install ubuntu i just used the standard that it showed witch is i think 17GB but i want to have more space how do i increase that number ? i need help. thank you

Boot from Ubuntu live install cd and use gparted to resize your partitions (the resize process can take hours to finish)

menu: System → Administration → Partition Editor

Be sure to have a backup of your relevant data
