Asked by Juan Carlos Sanabria

I would like to delete windows 7 from my dual boot ubuntu and resize my partitions.

I boot from Gparted bootable USB. I keep all the default settings. But, the partition editor does not open.

For me to delete windows 7 and resize my partition the partition edior must open.

Did you use LVM when you installed Ubuntu? If so then you can extend using that.

An easier way would be to just delete the Windows partition and make a new partition in Ext4 then use it store casual user data and mount it to an empty folder in your home directory.

If you want to use GPartEd then try the one in the Ubuntu install CD/USB instead. It may be OK there.

Can you help with this problem?
