Google Earth crash

Asked by Sava Pavlovic on 2010-02-02

Dear Experts

After 3 days of correct work of Googleearth 5.0 on Ubuntu 9.10 it begin crashes 2 sec. after opening with following message:
This is a bug in the program, and should never happen under normal
circumstances. A bug report and debugging data have been written
to this text file:

    /home/sava/.googleearth/crashlogs/crashlog-4b682f1f.txt
Unfortunately I can't find this file. Reinstallation or using GE 4.0 doesn't help.
In a history of this Forum I have found the same question from 09.09. but without complete answer.

Thank you in advance for any suggestion.

Hi! you might want to check the comment #5 (by Nicolás Lichtmaier) of the related bug (#257464).
If you can't find the log file, it might be because it's in a "hidden" folder (all things that start with a dot '.' are considered hidden) in order to see them, press "ctrl+h" (on nautilus), or "View->Show hidden files".

Hope it helps!

In the mean time you can still access google earth's online version in http://maps.google.com/ and clicking on 'satellite' (upper right corner)
