How often do security packages get updated? such as gnupg2

Are there any ppas with a later version of gnu privacy guard that support ed25519 for use of encrypting files?

I would greatly appreciate it if you could upgrade said package to 2.1.15 or later.

Or at least give me an idea of when it will be updated again... for ubuntu 16.04

I was talking about the ubuntu LTS 16.04.

I just wondered when it would be updated to 2.1.15 in ubuntu 16.04

that's all.

the ed25519 curve is very important.

I made it into a bug if your curious because I would like it to in the near future be upgraded due to security fixes.
