Gnumeric Autofilter Disappears After Save

On Xubuntu: when I save and close a gnumeric file that has the autofilter set and later open the file, I get a "!" dialog box that says: "'_FilterDatabase' is already defined in workbook". When I click the "Close" button on the box, the file appears but the autofilter is no longer present. I am able to put the autofilter back in place again, but it always gets dropped after a save. Any Ideas on how to fix this? Thanks.
