what is flv

Asked by imalberto2012

I'm new to Ubuntu. I'm attempting to download whatever files I need to be able to download movies.
I have flash-player and am able to watch movies but can't download them.

Hi,
first idea is an addon calls something like "download helper" with variety of tweaking download options.
Second idea is to move within firefox to edit -> preferences -> applications
search and choose e.g. shockwave, on the right a menu appears with option "save file".
