How do I get a screenshot?

I need to take a screen shot of a file given to us so I can send that screen shot image as attachment to my e-mail. How do I take a screen shot?

Just hit print screen <Prt Sc> and it will generate a png file and pop up a dialogue box to ask what you want to do with it.
