With a single boot the installer can simply be told to use the entire drive and it will work. If you want something a bit nicer (makes clean installs easier as well as backups) use:

Primary partition formatted Ext4 10Gb for /
2Gb for swap
Primary partition for The rest formatted Ext4 for /home

Should be fine

If you a beginner you should let Ubuntu handle everything. There's no necesarry to complicate. Just follow the wizard instructions and choose something like Use all disc or something similar and all gonna work.

I think actionparsnip´s solution is better, becuse one day you will not be novice anymore and then you will want to have separate home partition.I will follow actionparsnip´s advice, and it is not that hard as may look like.

Can you help with this problem?
